Sidequest is an independent platform that tracks AI expert-work roles, publishes what they pay, and compares the platforms that offer them. It is built for experienced professionals — physicians, lawyers, analysts, engineers, scientists, linguists — who are considering this work and want the facts before they apply.
A labour market has grown up around AI: the labs that build the models pay professionals to evaluate their reasoning in the professional's own field. The work is legitimate, but the information around it has been poor: vague role categories, apply-to-find-out pay, and little preparation for the screening that decides who gets in.
So Sidequest tracks the roles the platforms publish, shows the rate exactly as each listing states it, calculates medians by field and by platform from those listings, describes each platform's screening, and attaches preparation questions to listings. Around the listings it maintains guides to the field and analysis of where the market is moving.
How we make money

What we are not

- We do not estimate rates — every rate on a listing is the platform's own published figure, and every median is calculated from those listings. Company figures on platform profiles are reported by the companies and the press, and are labelled as such.
