What the work involves

You are given a document produced in an analytics or insights context — a market research summary, a segmentation analysis, a KPI review deck, a survey write-up, a data-quality memo — and asked to judge it the way you would judge a junior analyst's deliverable before it reaches a client or an executive. That means checking whether the numbers support the claims, whether the methodology is sound, whether the recommendation follows from the evidence, and whether the framing would mislead a reader who didn't have the underlying data. Assessments are written against a rubric supplied by the project: you score dimensions, then justify each score in prose that another reviewer could audit.

Some projects ask you to compare two candidate outputs and pick the better one with reasons. Others ask you to rewrite a flawed section so it meets a professional standard, or to author reference documents in your own specialty that become the benchmark. Volume and format shift between projects; the constant is that the written justification matters as much as the score.

  • Rubric discipline. Whether you can suppress personal stylistic preference and grade against the criteria you were handed.
  • Written precision. Feedback that names the specific flaw and its consequence, not "could be clearer."

Logistics

Fully remote and asynchronous. Contributors typically pick up work in blocks and complete tasks against a deadline rather than fixed shifts; many run this alongside a primary role at 10–20 hours a week, though some projects offer more. Eligibility is limited to people based in the US, Europe, the UK, or Canada. Pay is stated as observed for this band — actual rates depend on the project, your domain, and how your calibration holds up over the first batches.
