What the work involves

You will spend most of your time producing and judging technical content at the graduate level of biochemistry. Typical tasks include authoring problems that a strong model should plausibly fail — a multi-step kinetics derivation, a mechanism question about a cofactor-dependent enzyme, interpretation of a titration or CD spectrum, or a reasoning chain across glycolysis and the TCA cycle. Each item usually needs a verified answer, a worked rationale, and citations or reasoning that a second reviewer can check independently.

The other half is evaluation: comparing two or more model responses and deciding which is better, then explaining why in writing. Errors are often subtle — a correct final number reached through an invalid assumption, a mechanism with the right product and the wrong arrow-pushing, a confidently invented Km value. Your rationale matters as much as your verdict, because it becomes training signal.

What the platform screens for

  • A real credential trail: MS or PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, or a closely adjacent field, plus bench or research experience you can describe in specifics.

Logistics

Fully remote and asynchronous. Most contributors work 10–25 hours per week against per-task or hourly agreements, with volume that fluctuates as projects open and close. Expect an onboarding calibration batch that is reviewed before you get steady throughput. Pay bands reflect rates contributors have reported; actual offers vary by project, task complexity, and quality scores.
