What the work involves

This is a research study, not an ongoing evaluation contract. You complete one structured online survey that takes roughly 20 minutes. Most of it is multiple choice — questions about how you enrolled in your Devoted Health plan, which benefits you actually use, how you've contacted member support, and how your day-to-day care and prescriptions work under the plan. Interspersed are about ten short prompts where you record your answer out loud instead of typing it. The voice recordings matter: the lab is building tools that need to hear how real members describe coverage confusion, claims, provider access, and support calls in their own words.

What the platform screens for

Mercor's screen is short and largely about verification. Expect to confirm your age bracket, U.S. residency, and that you are or were enrolled in a Devoted Health Medicare Advantage plan specifically — not another carrier, and not Original Medicare with a supplement. Screeners generally probe with a follow-up or two: which plan year, which state or county, whether it was an HMO or PPO, whether you switched from something else. Vague or hedged answers here usually end the screen. You'll also be checked for basic audio setup and comfort speaking on the record; recordings that are inaudible, clipped, or clearly read from a script tend to fail verification.

Practical logistics

  • Fully remote, United States only, entirely asynchronous.
  • One sitting, about 20 minutes, no scheduled call.
  • You need a working microphone (a phone or laptop mic is fine) and a genuinely quiet room.
  • You must complete the survey inside the window given when you're accepted.
  • Payment is a single amount released after your submission passes verification, not an hourly invoice — the $60/hr figure is the observed effective rate for the time involved, and rates on studies like this vary by cohort.

Who this suits

Someone who has real, first-hand experience navigating a Devoted Health plan and is willing to talk candidly about what worked and what didn't. There's no technical background required despite the listing's category tag. If you can't independently complete an online form and record short audio clips without help, this isn't a fit.
