What the work involves
You author original multiple-choice items drawn from your own professional knowledge of PRC accounting standards (CAS), auditing practice, and the Chinese tax system — VAT, corporate income tax, individual income tax, stamp duty, and related administrative rules. Each item follows a fixed format: a self-contained stem, ten answer options, exactly one defensible correct answer, and a worked solution that shows the reasoning, calculation, and the standard or statute it rests on. Items are written in Simplified Chinese at native register, using the terminology a CPA candidate or practicing accountant would actually encounter.
The difficulty target is higher than most textbook drills. Good items force a model to apply a rule rather than recall a definition — timing differences, deferred tax recognition, consolidation adjustments, input VAT credit eligibility, audit opinion selection under specific misstatement facts. Distractors matter as much as the key: the nine wrong options should each represent a plausible error a competent person might make, not filler. Expect revision cycles where reviewers challenge whether an item is genuinely unambiguous, whether the cited authority is current, and whether the stated answer survives close reading.
What the platform screens for
- Verifiable credentials: a master's or higher in finance, accounting, or business, and ideally 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Education or residence in mainland China, with fluency in current PRC regulatory practice rather than IFRS-only or overseas frameworks.
- Native-level written Simplified Chinese, including correct technical vocabulary.
- Sample items or a live writing exercise, judged on ambiguity, distractor quality, and whether the worked solution is actually correct.
- Realistic weekly availability and comfort working from written specs without daily supervision.
Logistics
Fully remote and asynchronous. Hours are flexible and self-scheduled; contributors typically commit to a stated weekly volume rather than fixed shifts. Pay in the $39.69–48.51/hr band has been observed for this listing and is not guaranteed — rates depend on assessed depth, language screening, and the specific project track you are placed on. Engagements are contract-based and may run in batches, with volume rising and falling as dataset needs change.
