What the work involves

You write hard questions and judge model answers. A typical task might be constructing a scenario about hepatic clearance in a patient on an enzyme-inducing anticonvulsant, then scoring two model responses against a rubric you help refine — flagging where the model confuses competitive and non-competitive inhibition, invents a half-life, or gives a dosing recommendation that reads plausible but would be unsafe. Other batches ask for reference answers with citations, adversarial prompts designed to elicit confident errors, or line-level critiques explaining exactly why a response fails.

Subject areas rotate across the pipeline: receptor pharmacology and signal transduction, ADME and PK/PD modeling, CYP-mediated drug–drug interactions, toxicology and dose–response, clinical pharmacology and therapeutic drug monitoring, and regulatory or preclinical development questions. You will usually be asked to work in the areas you can defend under follow-up, not everything on that list.

What the platform screens for

micro1 runs an AI-led interview before any project assignment. It verifies credentials (PharmD, PhD in pharmacology or a closely adjacent field, or MD with clinical pharmacology practice), then probes depth: expect follow-ups that push past your first answer, ask you to quantify, and test whether you distinguish established mechanism from textbook simplification. The screen also measures evaluation judgment — whether you can articulate a defensible rubric, separate a factual error from a stylistic one, and stay consistent across similar cases. Clear written English matters, because your critiques are the training signal.

Logistics

  • Fully remote, asynchronous, no fixed shifts
  • Project-based with variable volume; many contributors work 10–20 hrs/week, some scale higher during active batches
  • Hourly, invoiced through the platform; $60–80/hr is the observed range for this role and is not guaranteed
  • Expect a calibration period where early work is reviewed closely before throughput expectations settle
